Welcome to Missouri
Home of the BBQ!

Missouri has long been known to most Americans as the home of Barbeque. In 1908, Henry Perry known as the 'father of the Kansas City Barbeque' began serving smoked meats in the Jazz district of Kansas City. For 25 cents customers would be served oak and hickory smoked meats smothered in Perry's unique harsh peppery sauce that we now enjoy on our Barbeques.. and the rest as they say is history.

Kansas City hosts one of the largest Barbeque celebrations, The 'American Royal BBQ Competition'. Which welcomes over 70,000 visitors each September. But that is not the only reason to visit this charming, historic and scenic state!

Missouri is located in the heart of the United States and is known as the 'Gateway to the West' due to its historic association with the westward expansion of the American pioneers. The magnificent Gateway Arch, America's tallest man-made structure celebrates this unique place in the history of the development of the USA.

Missouri is a true representation of what has become known as the 'Real America'. The cities may be reminiscent of European capitals - but only here can you see where the famous Pony Express began, visit the town that inspired Mark Twain to create Huckleberry Finn, drive the legendary Route 66 or tour the house where outlaw Jesse James lived and was gunned down

Kansas City gave birth to Jazz and is a Mecca for music lovers from across the World. The city of Branston has more theatre seats than New York or London with world class entertainement and more than 100 live shows daily. Expect everything from big band, country, swing, rock n'roll, bluegrass, the Blues and more.
